Considering "She Creature" is one of AIP's first films, it is surprisingly good. Add to it the 3 name stars, including Chester Morris, Tom Conway, and Cathy Downs, I'm surprised AIP could pull it off. It is a higher budget than their other earlier pics, which probably helped. Compared to The Day The Earth Ended (which had also had name stars), this one is superior.

I agree - it's better than its reputation would have us believe - just re-watched it last night and enjoyed it very much - the cast was quite interesting - I just felt that the film was missing a beginning that really set us up for what was to come.
