Trivia Error?

In the trivia section of this film it says:

"Miyoshi Umeki's Academy Award win for Best Supporting Actress made her the first Asian actor to win an Oscar. Also, as of 2010, she is the only person of East Asian descent to win an Academy Award for acting."

Haing S. Ngor won a Best Actor Oscar for his role in The Killing Fields (1984). He was Cambodian (incidentally, his character in the film was also of this nationality).

My understanding of world geography leads me to believe Cambodia is in East Asia. Perhaps someone could update the trivia section. Umeki does remain, to my knowledge, the only Asian woman to have won the award.
