Royal Dano

I think this western is special for many reasons, of course, anyone would, but I think Royal Dano acts everyone else off the screen, AND his blue eyes, his voice, are better than anyone else's in the cast. Amazing actor!

It was gratifying to see Royal Dano in such a meaty part for a change. I thought he brought tremendous dignity and passion to his role, and it made me wish he had been given more opportunities throughout his career to sustain a characterization and not get killed off so quickly.

He's the actor who still to this day is the voice used for Lincoln in the Hall of Presidents at Disneyland. A fine character actor who uplifted many films in which he took part.

Nothing is more beautiful than Oscar Homolka.

Yes, I know, when I took my nieces there in 2008, I MADE sure they knew that !!

OK, I'll hop on the bandwagon and agree with all the posts here. I've always admired Dano's work, and seeing his name in the credits is usually enough for me to watch a movie. In Saddle the Wind I thought his was the best performance. In fact, it may be one of his best performances ever.

And, that was his real name.
