Quatermass 2...Monday 5th April, BBC 2

For those in the UK, "Quatermass 2" is being shown on Monday morning, BBC2, 1.50am.
I for one am looking forward to it, been a long time since I saw this film.

Yep; stayed up to watch it after `Heat'. It was even better than I remembered, and even more pertinent today with so many corrupt, lying politicians about.

I should have got my recorder fixed.

I watched it, having no idea about it, kinda expecting your typical 50's sci-fi movie; giant creatures in all. Not that it doesn't have all of that, but it is much more subtle than your typical movie of it's type from it's era.

It was very subtle, atmospheric and overall creepy. Very impressive!

I taped it and watched it last night, it was great stuff; and the right length. No doubt if it were made today it would have been an our longer, full of explosions and special effects and with an unneeded romantic sub-plot tacked on.

It's on again on BBC2-HD tonight at 01:00 hrs. Hopefully the BBC will show a good print. They broadcast The Quatermass Experiment a couple of weeks ago and it looked great in Hi-Def (Academy ratio).

Would be great to have these two on a double Blu-ray, with commentary and other extras.

It was Standard-Def, but a good print, despite severe graininess during the pre-credit scenes (same as last time). I agree, 'The Quatermass Xperiment' on BBC 2-HD in Hi-Def looked fantastic.

Good news everyone as Xperiment & 2 are both showing next week on BBC2 and BBC2HD. Experiment is showing 1am Monday 24/11/14 & 2 is showing at 1.50am on Saturday 29/11/14

Just about to watch it on BBC 2. Watched the Quatermass Experiment last week on BBC 2 as part of their sci-fi season, the first time since I was about 6 where I can only remember part of it, think I only watched part of it while waking up from being a sleep on the sofa and it giving me a nightmare soon after when I was carried to bed. Can't ever remember watching the second one, although I may have and not realised the title. Looking forward to it, enjoyed the first.
