It was Hammer. Just check out their Goth stuff.

Well, the one that comes first to mind is `The Gorgon' circa 1964. But any Dracula, Wolfman, or Frankenstein work from Hammer seems expressly designed to beat your eardrums limp.

Great fun though.

I think the soundtrack is great. OTT? Aliens are trying to take over the world!

Uses the same sound track as the original quatermas Xperiment. Really eerie and adds to both films.
