Crime Doesn't Pay

I always forget that in the old days criminals, no matter how likeable or fun, could never prosper off their ill gotten gains in the movies or TV. That would've driven me crazy after awhile. Movies like "League of Gentlemen" infuriate me because you spend two hours coming to care for characters and the filmmakers are forced to tack on a pointless, unsettling puritanical ending to the film. So glad that has changed.
