Years ago when I was still a child, I was a great reader and spent hours in the library, and I remember reading the book by Felix Salten that this was based on. I found it remarkably touching and remember it to this day.
shareI just watched it on TCM. It is amazing what they accomplished with the cinematography (9 cameramen in two life cycles with the animals) for the time. If you think about the small cameras we have today, zoom capabilities etc., it's amazing.
