That purple dress.....

Saw the movie for the first time last night. It was made the year I was born! Anyway, I loved the purple dress and gloves too. Just beautiful. I loved all the fashion in the show --- that was the best part! Another stand-out outfit was Rita Hayworth's yellow negligee and robe (that's not the right term--- penoir or something) --- so floaty and lovely -- fur collar and all.

Kim Novak certainly found her color in that purple dress and purple sweater in an earlier scene. It is perfect for her hair and skin tones. Gorgeous!

Yes, very much so. Debatable whether this or the shade of gray she wears in Vertigo were more effective.
