Favourite Lines

General Rousch: Now, he's [Hogan] got a point there, hasn't he?!

Betty Bixby: Have you had any symptoms since I saw you this morning?
Private Hogan: A few...around the heart.

[talking about the German who Hogan makes Locke believe has been buried alive]
Captain Locke: Hogan, he might still be alive. How much oxygen can a coffin hold?
Private Hogan: I really don't know, sir.
Captain Locke: Hogan, we've got to dig him up.
Private Hogan: I don't think so, sir.
Captain Locke: I guess by the time we dig him up...it might be too late.
Private Hogan: Yeah, we'd just have to put him back in again!

Private Hogan: Just think about (nurse) Lieutenant Rosedale. And she's in your arms. And the music is playing... and you're working nights.

I really love this film. After a few more viewings, it is becoming one of my favourite Jack Lemmon films.
