Sure sounds like Sammy Davis Jr. singing the title tune during the opening credits. Anyone know for sure?

He isn't billed in the credits as singing it.
Here's my guess why:
The movie was from Columbia Pictures in 1957. Almost precisely around this time, Sammy Davis Jr. was evidently in an affair with Kim Novak -- Columbia's biggest in-house star, personally groomed by Columbia Chief Harry Cohn. Rumor has it that Cohn contemplated a Mafia hit to end the affair.
Well, at least he pulled Davis' singing credit.
