The one that got away

I am looking for a copy of the 1957 film "the one that got away" because my dad starred as an extra in it and I would like to give him a copy as a present.
Do you know anyone with a copy on VHS that can be used in England and that would like to sell it or somewhere I can buy a copy?
It would make my day!
Thanks in advance

I have a PAL-version in german language.

Interesting for movie fans:

There was a scandal about the movie at the british press conference when a journalist asked actor Hardy Krueger if he was a nazi in real life, because he looked like one: Krueger then asked the journalist if he was a jew - because he looked like one too...

My Grandad was in this film. Just waned to say so, feel kind of proud in a way.

Terrific film & impressive performance by Hardy Kruger. What part did your Grandad play?

reply

Well, he was in the army at the time and had to play one of the soldiers who chased him. You don’t actually see him close up, but every time he watches the film he always points out where he is on screen.

My grandad was based at the real Swanwick Hayes as a guard, dont know if it was the same time as when Von Werra was there or not though, although he did acquire a Luftwaffe issue Luger, so maybe......
