I used to love this movie and watch it all the time with my siblings...

...and EVERYONE thought we were crazy for liking this movie in any way, shape or form, because of the ending. Seriously, anyone who knew about Old Yeller always said "it was too sad" to ever watch multiple times, but for some reason, my brothers and sisters and I had no problem watching it. I've watched Old Yeller as many times as I've watched Mary Poppins and any other number of Disney films. We'd be sad at what happened to Old Yeller, but it wouldn't haunt us for days on end like it seemed like it did to everyone else. And we're big animal lovers, too. O_o Everybody else I know says they "HATE" this movie, and that it was "sick". But I've always liked it, and felt like it was just more realistic. I've just always been able to appreciate it for some reason.

I watched this movie all the time when I was little! I have no idea how old I was when I first saw it (I know I already liked it when I was 4, so I must have seen it prior to that). At a young age, I understood why Yeller had to be put down. I knew that Travis did what he had to do to protect his family, and to keep Yeller from suffering. I found nothing about this movie traumatizing, because I always thought the happy parts outweighed the sad parts :)

That really says a lot about you. You enjoy a movie about a boy killing his best friend after it saved his family. You get enjoyment out of pain and suffering.

Chase: Wow. Yeah, I get it. House is adorable. I just want to hold him and never let go.
