Soundtrack: Rota vs. Deutsch

I was amazed at how close Nino Rota's music here, for Visconti's Le Notti Bianche from 1957, reminded me of Adolph Deutsch's music for Billy Wilder's The Apartment from 1960, another bittersweet romance.

Cold sober, I find myself absolutely fascinating.
