No doubt,Tony Quinn does a capable job.
It is unfortunate that this film is hardly shown:
-it is an outstanding story by Hugo !
-Lollabrigida is abs.beautiful !
-and visuals aren't bad....

Agreed: it's the best version to date in terms of following the plot!
It also has the best depiction of Dom Claude, including his scientific interests.
