What is the town/city in which the doctor's 'office' is located? Glendale? And is the alien's mansion located in Pasadena or Hancock Park? Anyone any idea?

According to the DVD commentary several scenes were shot in Griffith Park.

1,000 mini-bios and I feel like I'm just getting started
