Jimmy Stewart's horse, 'Pie'

Jimmy's favorite mount, "Pie", gallops tall and proud in this picture...just as he had for all of Stewart's cowboy pictures, starting with "Winchester 73."
All of the Anthony Mann directed cowboy movies with Stewart has Pie on the screen....the beautiful brown stallion with the white "star" on his forehead. Jimmy rode Pie until "Cheyenne Social Club," where he was used for street scenes only...Pie was too elderly by then to hump up and down over the Wyoming mountains.

Jimmy also wore the same cowboy hat for many pictures until it got too "ratty."
