LOVE this flick!!

LOVE this movie! It is freaking hilarious!!

I was surprised to see so few comments on this message board, especially since this wonderful flick has been out for so long.

Same here. I was really surprised by the low ratings on both Netflix and IMDb. I find older comedies sometimes just don't fit a modern sensiblity, but this one had me cracking up.

My favorite scenes (in no particular order)
- Sonny MacGregor getting punched in the bar
- The slapstick jokes around dumping the body in the lake and the bomb in the file cabinet.
- The interaction between Lord Henry Mayley and his wife.

Sellers is great, and I love Terry-Thomas (he was great in School for Scoundrels as well). I wish I knew why people aren't as crazy about this movie as I was. The only weak point in the movie was the plotting around the end, but I was entertained the whole teime.

I think like most people I'd never heard of this movie. By luck my daughter grabbed it for me because we both like Peter Sellers. What a gem! Hilarious throughout. And right up there with Seller's best comedies.

Yes, it's absolutely hilarious with a fantastic star-studded 50s cast - Dennis Price, Peter Sellers, Peggy Mount, Terry-Thomas, Shirley Eaton, the list goes on. I had been trying to find this film for ages after seeing the scene with the IRA men in the pub on a clip show, which reduced me to tears of laughter...'but why are we talking in the accursed tongue...when we have the Gaelic?'
