A Riddle: What recent film used this same monster's visage

Let's see if anybody can name the recent film (a film made after 1990) that uses the basic image of the giant mollusk from this 1957 sci-fi flick.

Judy Moody (2011) had a clip from this movie. That doesn't answer the original question, posted in 2009, but I thought it was interesting that a recent kid's film used such old footage.
