Anyone knows this other meteorite movie?

OK, I've been looking all over for a movie title and I just can't find the damn thing. I'm guessing it was made in the 70's/80's though not absolutely certain.

It's about a meteorite that collisions in a little rural town (in which the main commercial activity is agriculture). So...the meteorite crashes and infects te water in the town, thus infecting the products (tomatoes, lettuces...etc) Now people start eating that stuff and change...to zombie-like creatures. I don't remember any more of it but the end (I was probably 9 or 10 when I saw this movie) in which a man that discovers this and has seen the effects of the water in humans is arrested (I think) and is being taken out of town in the moment he sees all the people playing/drinking/using water and yelling like crazy: "don't drink it! don't drink the water!".

At that time I was impressed with the ending and the disgusting escenes of people eating rotten vegetables and changing into hedious things.

So...please!! if anybody knows the title of this tell me...before I go insane (jk)

Bye...

Simple, just go to Amazon.com and they'll direct to where it's available. I got mine from Sublime Video (through Amazon) Very fast and inexpensive shipping too! Good Luck!

Thanks tpathfan, but I wasn't talking about Monolith Monsters. I was asking for a title of a movie a saw ages ago =P (I even wrote a mini plot based of what I could remember) and wondered if maybe someone in this board knew it.

Anyway, thanks again.

Bad adaptation of Lovecraft's "The Color Out of Space"...

Every adaptation of that great Lovecraft story is weak. It's a great and spooky story and will make you stay awake at night after reading it, but it isn't one that can be adapted to screen apparently.

IMHO "Die, Monster, Die" is rather creepy. Not very faithful to the original story, of course, but quite unsettling, nonetheless.
