Anything where Wong Kar Wai worked with Christopher Doyle. Mostly Chungking Express, Fallen Angels, In the Mood for Love and especially 2046.

Lars von Trier's Antichrist. Seriously. Just look at the trailer, every single frame could be in an art gallery.

I think Seul Contre Tous by Gaspar Noé could qualify too, though it's an ugly kind of beauty. Perhaps Enter the Void as well.

You could mention any Kubrick movie. Barry Lyndon, A Clockwork Orange, Eyes Wide Shut, ...

The Innocents (1961)
House (1977)
Brazil (1985)
Edward Scissorhands (1990)
Leon (1994)
The 12 Monkeys (1995)

Any Jean-Pierre Jeunet movie.
Any Emir Kusturica movie.
Any Ingmar Bergman movie.

I could second a lot already mentioned. Instead I will add a few movies that I have been tempted to mute and/or pause and just enjoy visually.

What Dreams May Come (1998) -- very very lush and beautiful
Fantasia (1940)

Jesus of Nazareth (1977) -- directed by Franco Zeffirelli, see it on a decent color display

A Midsummer's Night Dream (1935) -- black and white, but goes as far as one can go. Won an Oscar for the lighting, the ONLY Oscar ever given to a write-in candidate. (By the way, Hitler hated it and banned it from Germany.) On a clear screen, the special effects and lighting is magical.

Gattacca (1997)

Sleeping Beauty (1959) -- Disney
V for Vendetta (2005)
Batman (1989) ... What these three have in common is that they have bright colors, visually engaging, but although that's like comic books (like that Dick Tracy (1990) movie), they use the colors masterfully to produce some gorgeous art ... one would like to have a large print of a frame on the wall. Sleeping Beauty uses an incredibly flavorful palatte.

The Godfather (1972)

Manhattan

Metropolis

Days of Heaven

Raise the Red Lantern

To Live

Just to add a few more...
