Midnight Story w/ Tony Curtis

In 1950's I was a young schoolboy living in North Beach, San Francisco. I belonged to the Salesians Boys Club and one day, I signed up for my very first job, an extra in a movie being filmed in S.F. A large group of us from the same Club were hired for a movie starring Tony Curtis, who at that time was an unknown to all of us younguns. The filming was down on a playfield at some 'orphanage' and Curtis played a young motorcycle policeman who at one time was a resident there and was tutored by a Priest who was recently murdered. Over time, the opportunity to purchase this movie has dwindled to a precious few and I just now found a place that has it for sale. This movie brings back memories of my boyhood in the 'hood' in North Beach and my experiences as a budding movie star, however limited it turned out to be. Thank you Tony Curtis, I knew you when.

It's available on blu ray as past of the Dark Side of Cinema volume 5 box set from Kino Lorber. I watched it today. Curtis is good, but I didn't find the story all that interesting.
