The character of Cleva (Lon's first wife) was so annoying. I know melodramatic overacting was the norm for the time, but.... The whole your parents are deaf and I can't take scenes, the drinking acid on stage, and looking all pitiful when the second wife invited into her big house. She should have stuck around and been a better wife and mother.
