Vintage Elvis

This was maybe the third or fourth Elvis film I ever saw. I always thought it was his first film because he looked so young and his acting was so bad. I later learned that this was his second film, but the hair and gyrating hips were working even if the acting techniques hadn't kicked in yet. Elvis made quite an impression on me in this film and I believe this is the film where he introduced one of my favorites of his tunes, "Teddy Bear."

This is a decent film, but far from Elvis' best. Because it was one of his first, he's rather awkward as an actor and you're usually just waiting for the next song. It's also skimpy on plot and character development, but that's typical of most Elvis movies, which were pretty much written around his act. Still, for Elvis fans, it's essential.

"Loving You" is easy 'cause you're beautiful.

Everything you say about this film is true, but it does not deter from my enjoyment of it.

If you notice the concert scene at the end of the movie Elvis'Mom and Dad are in the crowd as extras after his mom dies they say Elvis never watched this movie again
