Good Vehicle For Doris Day / Gig Young / Peter Lawford

Though I enjoyed this movie, I thought the songs were mediocre despite a good effort by Tony Martin.

Vera-Ellen is very pretty and a fine dancer, but this movie would have been better if the ditched the songs and the dances and concentrated on the romantic comedy.

I'd have cast Doris Day as Jeannie, Gig Young as the American and Peter Lawford as the fortune hunting lord.
