I loved this!

I just saw this for the first time yesterday - and on the big screen! a nearby cinema was showing it! Neat huh?

I just thought this film was fantastic - the music, the costumes, the dance numbers - and of course Gene Kelly and his Les Girls! Mitzy Gaynor in particular.
My fav dance was in the 3rd story - when Gene was telling his version of the story - the one with him and Mitzy in the red and white bar. That was brilliant - part of that scene was used in Breakfast On Pluto!
Another bit of trivia - in the "musical" Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode - they steal a tiny bit from Les Girls - the number between Anya and Xander "i;; never tell" where Anya says "I'm dancing' - crazy!"

I just loved this film - 5 stars for sure! Bright, chic, colourful, entertaining and brilliant!
