BEST Lady Macbeth EVER

I don't think any of our great Shakespearean actresses have done the hand-washing 'guilt scene' more effectively than here. The hair on my arms stood on end more than a few times just watching her.

I was sorry to not see more of her in the movie. I loved her coldness in her first scenes, I thought it was so creepy. The way she looked at the floor, I felt she was mad already. Great!

Her guilt is fascinating - she is not this two dimensional 'evil Lady Macbeth' but in the end she is self-destroyed and knows it. Her maids rush about her in a panic in flowing movements resembling Kurosawa's famous 'flowing battle scenes'. Madness incarnate.

She was awesome... I hadn't read Macbeth since maybe 04-05 and have never watched a movie. I was a senior in HS when I read it with 0 interest in it. She did an awesome job though and I was seriously like "she's cold and manipulating, look at her go!"

Oh, I love a picnic. Acres and acres of sand and all of it in your food.
