MST3K is for really bad movies down near the Ed Wood level. This movie is not bad. Agree with other poster about small favors. Emphatically.

That's why the MST3K movie was so dull: they used "This Island Earth" which is a pretty good movie.
It only works when the movie is truly awful: "Kronos" would've been a disaster.

I'm so glad that they never got around to poking fun at this nifty little 50's sci-fi gem; it's a very good and enjoyable movie. Plus I hate that godawful show!

300 bios and counting.

Except in their horrible movie when they trashed the good, if not great, This Island Earth. A serious blunder with so many other truly awful movies to use.

I believe they also trashed GORGO, one of the better giant monster-on-the-loose pics.

Glad they didn't touch KRONOS. Low-budget yes, but because the three leads, Jeff Morrow, Barbara Lawrence, & George (Jetson) O'Hanlon, were very likeable, they helped lift it to another level, away from its B standard roots.

Well, you can make fun of anything. Kronos is a good film but not perfect; it does suffer somewhat from its budget limitations, and there's always stuff you can poke fun at.

An affectionate riff of a good but flawed film like this might be preferable to the kind of dull junk they dredged up and targeted in their last few seasons -- those awful, no-name, excruciatingly boring movies that all seem to have been filmed someplace in the woods. You can't deride something already so dull, obscure and poor (as opposed to "bad") and expect it to be funny.

Kronos might have been a good one to spoof in the movie -- certainly better than This Island Earth. And unlike that movie, they wouldn't have had to edit Kronos to fit MST3K -- The Movie's running time.
