Fennelly reminded me of Pepperidge Farms Guy.

Nobody could replace Percy Kilbride as Pa Kettle. It is like when Joe Besser and Curly-Joe DeRita replaced Curly Howard in The Three Stooges or when Stanley Clements replaced Leo Gorcey in Bowery Boys. I did like Stanley Clements though and thought he had good chemistry with Huntz Hall but that series like this one was quickly winding down. Parker Fennelly really sucked though as Pa Kettle with his Maine accent. This film was just horrible and Marjorie Main had no chemistry whatsoever with this old man and these rottenly cast kids.
