Maxwell's regret

How many felt bad for Maxwell when he regretted accidentally killing Gus over a misunderstanding over his wife. I really did think he was going to kill himself. I'm glad he turned himself in, and a native was not falsely accused. That sheriff was a smart cookie.

reply

It wasn't accidental. More likely in the heat of passion.

reply

Especially since he practically called him a tar baby!

reply

That certainly was a smart policeman.

Its that man again!!

reply

It didn't seem accidental to me, although yes I felt some sympathy for him because he didn't actually mean to kill the dude. But he was so crazed it should be obvious any result was possible from the deadly force he used.

He did do the right thing, eventually, by facing the music, so to speak.

But the racial slur also hurt Maxwell. So his rage got the better if him. He didn't want to be Black, because he held the same prejudice that Gus did about Race. Separation if the species was best from their opinion.
It was refreshing for him to find courage to do the right thing.
