'Seal off the entire city under a giant plexiglass dome.'

I'm watching the MST3K version and that was Crow's riff in response to the police guy's excessive measures to make sure the story doesn't leak to the press. (Thought it was funny nobody made a joke about his pronouncement that reporters from all over the country would have a field day with the story...sure, "Kid From Small Town Killed by Wild Animal" is a headline that's going to sweep the nation.)

Anyway, it just made me think of a similar plot device in The Simpsons movie and Stephen King's Under the Dome--Crow prefigured those by a decade. I know some of The Simpsons writers are fans of MST3K so it made me wonder if there was an influence.

This topic seemed more interesting before I actually posted it. Oh well.

I know Stephen King is a fan of IWATWW because he included the werewolf from this movie in his novel "It". Could be he saw this episode of MST3K....
