Don Murray deserved the Oscar nom.

Don Murray, a very talented yet underrated actor, should have been Oscar-nominated here. Franciosa has the showier part and received a nomination, but Murray is touching and completely believable in a strong role, certainly one of his best.

His work in "The Bachelor Party," also in 1957, was also worthy of consideration.
