Brilliant. Alastair Simm has fantastic comical timing. Terry Thomas is funny in this too.

It really is delightful. I just finished watching the DVD.
That said, and with apologies (because I really don't like dissecting farces with an excess of real-life practicality or modern-day procedures), I remained rather uneasy when William and Ann, discovering a battered wounded woman who'd been left for dead, fed her some whiskey and coffee and then left her to sleep it off, rather than, oh, securing medical attention immediately.
they did call a doctor before they went rushing off after Alistair Sim. Though calling 999 would probsbly have been more appropriate in the corcumstances, now you come to mention it.
shareIt is a very funny film. alistair Sim is wonderful, and so are the rest of the cast. i particularly like the lady musicians getting happily tiddly with Alistair in the bar.
