Lex Barker Didn't Write the Score
Per reviewer telegonus of Brighton, MA, Les Barker wrote the score -- he didn't: it was Lex Baxter. It's one of the reasons I actually watched this, because a few people mentioned that the score was hilarious.
I've no way of knowing how many Bergman films telegonus has seen, but his/her comment that Ron Randell "would surely have won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar" if directed by Bergman is one of the funniest things I've ever read here in years. But in all fairness, Red Buttons won that year for Sayonara, so I suppose anything is possible.
