Ann Bancroft's Character

I came in late, so maybe I missed it.

When she tells Lex Barker's character about her past, that her husband made her do things she was ashamed of and made her unsuitable for other men, what was she alluding to?

She's not alluding to anything earlier in the film that you missed. It's left to your imagination.

Obviously he made her wear black stockings, duh. I'm both joking and serious. I don't know if he literally made her wear black stockings; it's possible, but I think he made her behave in ways the black stockings represent in this movie.

At the point when she said it, I assumed it meant she had to do something kinky and/or socially unacceptable. Later, based on the pattern of murders, I also thought there might have been other men involved. Maybe he had her vamp it up and come on to other men in a seductive, teasing, and sexually taunting manner. That was the way the murdered women behaved. That may have been all there was to it or it went even further than that but whatever it was it made her feel degraded and shameful.
