Begging for a remake

As with all films, there is always someone out there that wants to see it remade.
Good lord! Someone will want the Lord Of The Rings to be remade! (If someone hasn't already suggested it!

But, I have to say, that, of all the cheesy films put out in the 50s, this one is screaming for a high tech remake.
With the state of the art in effects now, this could be GREAT!

Every other awesome movie has had a sub par remake. This one does not need to be one of those.

For once a remake is in order here. Even a CGI beast in a new version of this film would be better than that laughably ludicrous puppet used in the movie.

I write bios, therefore I am.

Hmmm good idea

H2 isn't Michael. Sherlock Holmes isn't Sherlock. Atleast they've got Batman right

What if the ridiculous shots of the bird were replaced with far more convincing monster FX? Retool it.

Similar to how Peter Jackson refilmed the censored spider scene for the original King Kong.

And release both versions on a special DVD.

Usually, I'm against remakes. However, in this particular case, it won't be the sacred crime of "ruining a classic".

The problem I always had with this film is that it's a perfect example of the 'interesting failure'. It actually begins on a dark and suspenseful note, and could have been quite scary.

The obvious problem is when the ridiculous bird finally makes its 'appearence.'

If I want laughs, I'll watch a comedy - if it's actually hilarious.

It's the old case of "If only the producers had a bit more money".

Perhaps it could be re-tooled, by adding in new and more effective shots of the flying creature.

But a remake could work, depending on who is involved in it.

KEEP EMMERICH FAR FAR AWAY!
