I picked up "Escapade in Japan" for twenty cents at a yard sale today! How much is my copy worth?
shareYou might get about $10 - $15 for it. VHS copies of relatively obscure films never issued on DVD can sell in that range. However, this runs on TCM fairly often and in a version that has a more original widescreen aspect ratio.

Some may like pan and scan vhs but I have it widescreen dvd in excellent quality.
shareIt's an extraordinarily rare video, in either of its incarnations (United in SP, Interglobal in ep); it currently goes for around $35.00 on Amazon.

The yard sale guy thought it was worth 20 cents.
if you have the time and energy to sell it on ebay/amazon, you may find a
buyer/collector that will pay much more, since you are offering it to a much wider audience.
of course, when no-one has a VCR anymore, it might be worth even less than 20 cents...
as of today, seems to be avail on amazon in VHS format, and in DVD in NON-US format.
Apparently this film is even rarer than before, as I just sold it for $75 on Amazon...only a few copies in existence too.
