German patriotic song?
Does anybody know what that song is the captain plays on the submarine to psych up the sailors?

The song is in English but I get the impression its originally a German song, originally...Anybody know where I could ask? :P This seemed like the most logical place but nobody seems to know here

Its a drinking song - roughly translated:
"Thats the way we live, the way we live

Being in the best Kneipkompanie.
In the morning with clean wine,

We wont go home before the break of dawn.
The song was probably part of the offical Navy songbook or whatever its called..I dont know enough about the german military (:-))

I always heard 'In Nazi Fellowship' as well. Always thought that's what it was. Was watching with subtitles the other day and it said 'In Lasting Fellowship'. I thought maybe the subtitles were wrong, but if you listen very closely and focus on that point in the song, it does sound more like 'Lasting Fellowship'. Just a strange line I guess. Glad to know I'm not the only one to make this mistake. share
