Remake in the Computer Age?

This film is a comedy full of sharp verbal jousting, but with a serious undercurrent - the implications for humans/workers of progress in the form of unfettered computerisation. I wonder why, given its success & the topicality of the subject & theme (especially today), has there been no updated remake with modern computers?

It certainly does seem very fit for adaptation. People could probably relate to the increasing reliance upon and utilisation of technology just as much, if not more so, in today's world. The film 'Her' lays the groundwork well enough.

Remade with our new computer overlord, IBM Watson, on Jeopardy. Ken Jennings made a passable Katherine Hepburn.

Look at him -- sittin' on that stool like he's doin' it a favor.

It wouldn't make sense to make it now. It would be so outdated.
It might have made sense 20 years ago when we all started using the World Wide Web.
