I think this is one of the funniest movies ever made. It just tickles my funny bone.

I just watched it for the first time.. It was funny.. I liked the "cross-eyed" line part. What a hoot!

Me too! I don't understand why so many posters here are saying it wasn't funny, that the comedy was strained, that Peck was wooden.
I cracked up throughout the film! One of the funniest scenes is where Bacall catches Peck in the actress' apartment due to his shoe being in the dog's mouth. I was dying laughter. Then Peck chases her into the street and even after the cab is driving away with Bacall in it. I loved the voice overs, I think it added so much to the scenes, and I loved hearing everything from both of their viewpoints.
I just absolutely loved this film, I thought it was so sweet, romantic and funny.
What about the ravioli scene? The way Peck handled it, looking so serious and dignified with the food on his lap... Hilarious.
I couldn't stop laughing through the whole movie. I love the way it looks, but the lines seemed terrific to me most of the time. The humour seems very fresh to me, although I realize that US people seem to enjoy it less than me.
