best randolph scott western?

I can't decide which is better - Decision at Sundown or The Tall T?
What do You think?

I think you need to make a decision before the sun sets.

For what its worth, I choose "The Tall T", which I thought was first-rate all the way, but this one was noteworthy for the way it overturned Scott's usual persona and the downbeat ending and just generally ugly take on humanity it presents. A very good western, but "The Tall T" was a great one!

I agree. For a “B”film the acting is much better than I expected. John Archer, who played the “doc” was very, very effective. Journeymen actors like him contribute so much to films.

Ride the High Country and, less so, Hangman's Knot.

I'm not saying either is his best role, just that they're quality Westerns with Scott.
