i clearly remember seeing this film on chiller theatre in the fall of 1962 when i was a small child and becoming so frightened by the cyclops that my mom quickly changed the channel to the lawrence welk show to calm me down

I saw this when it came out in either 57 or 58! It was one of my first Movies and I was 5 years old. My parents took us to see it at the Drive In in our 1954 Ford Station Wagon and me and my brother were supposed to be asleep in the the back...but not me...I had nightmares for many years after this one. I would love to see it again so I could laugh at my demons...

I remeber also seeing this on Chiller when I was a pre schooler. It probably was the same time you saw it. I watched it with my older brothers. I did see again until eights when it came out on VHS with Elivra hosting!

By the way remember the sixties opening for Chiller that showed brief clip from this movie?

I sure do... the montage had clips of Vampira and co from PLAN 9, and the 2 giants from ATTACK OF THE 50-FOOT WOMAN as well. I used to be scared to death watching that montage every week... but watch it I did, lol :/ I used to lie in bed awake at night convinced that THE CYCLOPS and his counterpart THE COLOSSAL BEAST (from WAR OF...) were alive and kicking, and that both surely knew where I lived & would peer into my window looking for dinner one night... Yeesh! <:O

you and I must share some common Genes, But with me it was the Alien that came out of the TV on Outer Limits. I thought every time he would walk towards the screen, I thought it would walk out of our TV
