Do You Prefer A Murderous Baron To A Good One?
Unlike previous depictions of the character in films and in the novel, Baron Frankenstein here is presented as an exceptionally cold blooded killer, his gentlemanly demeanour being just a superficial masking of an inherently obsessed and insidious soul. This kind of character was revisited - and how! - in the 1969 classic Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed.
Cushing's Frankenstein appeared to be quite a chameleon character: one minute oh so charming and polite, and the next a ruthless, malevolent power freak.
Do you prefer a murderous Baron Frankenstein to a good one (e.g. like the Colin Clive depection).
