Regardless how much I love Cushing and Lee --- the movie is stale compared to 1931 ---
The follow up REVENGE of Franky was good though ...
Christopher Lee's monster was so one dimensional --- Cushing played a great sick ass Doctor though ---
1931 is my favorite too. In terms of performances:
Clive = Cushing, although Cushing's character is a complete bastard.
but...
Karloff > Lee, who wasn't given as much of a chance to impress.
Fry > Guy who played Paul Krempe. I know they're not the same character but they're both the doc's assistant.
Mae Clarke > Gal who played Curse's Elizabeth.
I also prefer the '31 storyline (which allows more showcasing of the monster) and the set design, at least of the laboratory. Still, Curse is very good.
