Dvd? Vhs? Where can I see the full film?
A very short segment of this film was played at the Gene Siskel Film Center last night. Does anyone here know where I could find the entire film?

I saw it as a special feature on the dvd of "Invasion,USA"(1952) with Gerald Mohr and Peggy Castle. There are many interesting movies of that era on the dvd including a listing of the "Conerad 100".
shareIt's on The Educational Archives: Patriotism-- available on DVD from Fantoma. Fantoma has released a great collection of 'educational' films that were shown in public schools in the '50's '60's and '70's.
shareDo they have the full movie or just the 30 minute cut? The original movie was about 50 minutes long. The version on the "The Commies are Coming" VHS was only about 25 minutes long and cuts out a couple of the story lines (IIRC, Robert Conrad was cut out completely).
shareThis cut runs 28 minutes.
shareThe 28 min version is on a collection called 'High School Terrors', and it's by far the highlight of the DVD- and the only one that could be considered terror- if that gives you any idea of the quality of the rest. They include 'how to go on a date', 'stay in school'and 'history of nuclear science' classroom films, a film for student teachers on how not being an a-hole can make a class easier to deal with, a cartoon for soldiers on the basics (very basics) of hiding and not getting blown up, and the 'Big Chief Vern' episode of 'My Little Margie' (basic episode info available on IMDB). I got it through Netflix.
shareIt's on www.archive.org
