The Mysterians (some) escaped to Mars before the Nuclear Civil War destroyed their Planet. So how did they get contaminated by Strontium-90? Even if they were contaminated the half-life of Strontium-90 is about 29 years. They dispose of the 80% of their offspring that are contaminated. No matter how you figure it after 100,000 years the contamination would no longer be a problem and no need to invade the Earth for our Women.
