Chase A Crooked Shadow

Can anybody let me know where I can get VCD or DVD of the 1957 classic "Chase A Crooked Shadow " ?

I wish; if you find out, post it here! I saw this as a "sneak preview" when it came out. It was haunting, and as I recall, the guitar music and the shadows in the garden are some of the most innocent and most spooky aspects of this film. Even Scarecrow Video, here in Seattle, doesn't have it: and that's saying something (ever been to a video store where the main floor is arranged by director?). Fifty years later, after one viewing, this film sticks in the memory. I long to see it again.

This is a follow-up. I just watched it again, and was amazed to see how much I remembered. The haunting quality is all there, evoked by shadows and the musical theme. I was surprised to see that the guitar musician was Julian Bream. A tight cast, good supporting performances, but the star, hands down, is Anne Baxter. What a fine control she had over her wide range of facial expressions. She could twitch one corner of her mouth and you could see the wheels turning. And gorgeous, of course. I was 16 when I saw this with my friend Brenda (where are you now, kiddo?), and when we came out of the theater in Tarzana, there was a blood moon. Spooky!

Yes! A great film and available on Amazon today!!
Lots of location stuff near Sitges before that area of Spain was ruined by overdevelopment, and a really good twisty plot. For some reason IMDB suggests this is all studio shot. Nothing could be further from the truth.
