what did she sign? (spoilers)

I just watched this movie, and though I enjoyed it, I must have missed something. What is the paper that Anne Baxter signed when her uncle was there, right after he made the police think that Richard Todd was the brother? And, why would she sign her will if she knew they were going to kill her? And, why were they leading Anne towrd the water?..seems pretty cruel and unnesessary.

I just watched this film for the first time and loved it! A great suspenseful thriller. She signed the will they had drawn up for her leaving everything to her brother. Them leading her to the water was a ruse as they knew the commissario (sp) was going to show up and she'd run to him for help. It was part of the plan to break her down and get her to confess to her brothers murder.

I know how you feel, Mister. I hate it when my igneous rocks are even touched!

Ah! Thank you, mommygirl.

And completely unrealistic. Her defence counsel would have a field day with the prosecution attempting to convict her, after a police ruse had driven her to the point of insanity.🐭
