It is a home-made DVD-R, so it should play anywhere. The quality is better-than-average for this type of copy. It has yellow subtitles, so they are easy to see
I have bought about a dozen movies from Lear Media, and am happy with their products and service. As stated on their website, you should expect to wait at least several weeks before they ship. If, like me, you are not in Canada, there may be an additional delay while the package clears customs. I did receive one defective DVD from them, but it was replaced immediately. Read the product descriptions carefully; some of their movies are in French with no subtitles.
Thanks. I haven't always had good luck with DVD-Rs. Some of them won't play on my DVD player. I am so anxious to see this film, however, that if nothing else comes up in the near future, I will give it a go.

Yeah, I know what you are saying. I used to have a terrible time with DVD-Rs. Some would play on my computer, but not on my DVD player. Many wouldn't play on either.
My son bought me a Blu-ray player for my birthday, and that solved the problem. It plays everything I put in it. I can also download firmware updates (I think this is standard for Blu-ray), so it is continually upgraded to address playability issues. Obviously, not everyone is in a position to run out and buy new hardware, but it's something to keep in mind.
