How could they make a film set in Canada with virtually all British accents?!!

I'm watching it right now and thinking exactly the same thing.

Well over an hour in and only Sid James has even attempted a North American-ish sounding accent!

The "filming locations" state it's filmed in Italy. Further information, anyone?

Yes, this IMDb site says Cortina d'Ampezzo, Belluno, Veneto, Italy. Shame - I thought it so looked like BC, where I live now. Also it's a shame the accents were so terrible - especially James Robertson-Justice. Still - a great film and nice to see all the old Brits of that era.

A 1958-dated photo of Bogarde on horseback (looking very lordly) has a caption explaining that he was preparing for having to ride horses in "Campbell's Kingdom":did he ever have to? I've never noticed hom riding in several viewings of the picture but ,then,maybe the film had been cut to squeeze in ads:can anyone contribute?
