Better Than 3.7 Rating

The actors did an excellent job. The scene in which the colonel gets exposed to the atomic blast was excellent. The end didn't involve the Empire State Building or the City Hall building in LA. Boulder Dam was a great choice for the giant's demise.

Old sci-fi and horror movie fans get it concerning these low budget genre movies. The ingenuity required to make such a film with very little money is very admirable! Also, most of these movies are entertaining. Mission accomplished!

People who rate this movie so low have obviously never even attempted to make a 10-minute student film, let alone an effects-heavy feature film shot in a couple of weeks for probably $100,000 or less. I agree with you completely. I think Bert I. Gordon deserves a lot more respect for his movies than he usually gets, and I'm not just saying that because I grew up in his home town of Kenosha, Wisconsin!

Some of the people who have given this film such a low rating probably regard it as a funny picture or a joke. They likely watch other films like they do this one and don't try putting themselves in the characters place, feeling what they feel. I also think they did a very good job.
